Thanks for this interesting post. So far, I'll have to agree that when it comes to English learning here in Quebec, Canada, it's still pretty much in demand and seemingly recession proof...we'll see.

Hello! I teach in an International language school in San Francisco. We are one of the only industries around who aren't struggling in this recession. The students come from all over Europe and Asia, and as their home economies bounce all over the place the demand for English continue to climb. Great ESL blog- thanks!
